Castles On The Air
Castles On The Air
The John Hewitt International Summer School presents a BBC Northern Ireland exhibition celebrating the life and works of Louis MacNeice [1907 – 1963], one of the foremost poets of his generation and a distinguished, pioneering broadcaster with the BBC. Taken from the BBC Northern Ireland photographic and written archives, and from other sources including the National Portrait Gallery, Faber & Faber and the MacNeice family, ‘Castles On The Air’ is a rich and varied exhibition which features a wealth of material charting the life and times of one of the most popular and influential poets of the 20th Century. A lavish, free booklet, which includes essays on MacNeice by some of Ireland's best-known writers today, accompanies this exhibition. More

Saturday 19 July to Saturday 16 August.
